One Picture Equals 1000 Words - BİR RESİM BİN SÖZE BEDELDİR...
ABD'nin dış ülkelerde sahip olduğu askeri üslere ve silahlı kuvvetler gücüne ait bilgi notu aşağıda sunulmuştur. Fotoğraftaki her siyah nokta bir askeri üs göstermektedir. Yazar bu resme bakarak İran'ın tehdit oluşturduğu görüşüne karşılık "gerçekte kim tehdit oluşturuyor?" sorusunu yöneltiyor.
If one wonders where our 420 foreign U.S. military bases are located, here is an interesting beginning to the answer. But even more important for us U.S. citizens is to wonder why we have this concentration around Iran! Or to wonder why we have 420 foreign military bases at all? What other country has a foreign military base? If any, how many?
Perhaps if we superimposed a map of all our 420 military bases on a map showing the world’s oil wells we might see a correlation?
This leads to another important issue, how can one country afford to maintain these bases with a military presence of say 100 to 50,000 persons on each base. Some of these foreign bases are self contained military cities with complete infrastructure, electricity, sewers, water etc. which are built around a military airport with sophisticated protected parameters to keep local citizens of that country at a safe distance. In fact we know that we even keep a stockpile of nuclear weapons on the ready at some of these bases.
Do we U.S. citizens not wonder what it costs us to finance all these satellite bases? They most vehemently are unwanted by the locals except perhaps for their leaders who are financed and maybe kept in power by our presence? It was estimated that for our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan it cost us one million dollars per soldier per year. A little mathematics: 160,000 troops plus 100,000 Haliburton and Blackwater U.S. mercenaries times one million dollars times the number of years equals the deficit caused by our war spending? Or more? Or much more?
When we tax payers are suffering from financing the biggest dept in our country’s history; from a loss of jobs, from a stalled economy, from international outsourcing of our industrial production, from political isolation because of our image as a country to be feared because it is willing to invade any nation it wishes, etc. Maybe we should rethink our need to have and to finance 420 foreign bases?
This picture also tells another story, our war industry which has become an essential part of our economy has fully provided the U.S. and Israel armies with all needed weapons, ammunitions, planes and guided missiles needed to bomb, invade, and occupy Iran. On this photo every one of those black dots can be a point of invasion!
Israel has already openly threatened, even leaked dates i.e. sometime this spring when the bombing will start! As we all know our Congress and President have pledged to defend Israel at all costs as if it is heartland USA so we are therefore to follow Israel into the fire. Knowing the massive destructibility of the U.S./Israeli war machine, that means that such annihilation of a nation will lead to WWIII because the world will not stand on the side when they see wholesale mayhem!
Please take another look at this map as if you are an Iranian citizen. Then listen to the Israeli/U.S. rhetoric about bombing, invasion and occupation. You must then be terribly fearful for your life and the future!
